With approximately 30,000 students, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is the second largest university in the state of Wisconsin in the US. Located by Lake Michigan, the University has 12 schools and colleges, and 70 academic centres, institutes and laboratory facilities. It offers a total of 155 degree programs, including 84 bachelor's, 48 master's and 27 doctorate degrees. It opened in 1885 with just 46 students and over the years expanded rapidly from a tiny school to the major institution it is today. |
