Hanze University Groningen is the oldest University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and the largest University of Applied Sciences in the northern part of the Netherlands. The International Business School of Hanze University Groningen was the first international business school in the Netherlands. Hanze University Groningen is located in the vibrant student city Groningen. Hanze University Groningen has a wide variety of Bachelor Programmes, Master Programmes, Certificate Programmes, Exchange Programmes, Dual Degree Programmes and Preparatory Courses. On Friday 3 September 2010, Hanze University Groningen, University of Applied Sciences, organises a Welcoming Day for all new international students. The programme includes welcoming speeches by the Major of the city of Groningen, the Executive Board and other representatives of Hanze University Groningen, an information market, an introduction into Dutch Culture and Education, a lunch and sessions on important practical issues that you need to take care of as an international student.
